October update: Petrol, diesel prices decrease further in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The prices of petrol and diesel in Pakistan have been further reduced. The government on Monday reduced the price of petrol by Rs2.70 per liter and diesel by Rs3.40 per litre.

The revised prices of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) following the reduction are now Rs247.30 and Rs246.29, respectively.

Additionally, light diesel will experience a reduction of Rs1.03 per litre, bringing the new price to Rs140.90 per litre. Kerosene prices will also decrease by Rs3.57 per litre, reducing its cost to Rs154.90, down from Rs158.47.

The recent price cuts followed the federal government’s announcement on September 15, which included a reduction of Rs 10 per litre for petrol and Rs 13.06 per litre for high-speed diesel (HSD).
