Interbank closing: PKR gains 4.46 paisa against USD

KARACHI: The Pakistani rupee (PKR) appreciated by 4.46 paisa against the US dollar (USD) during Friday’s interbank session, closing at PKR 278.13 per USD compared to the previous session’s closing of PKR 278.17 per USD.
Throughout the session, the PKR experienced an intraday high (bid) of 278.50 and a low (ask) of 278.30. In the open market, exchange companies quoted the dollar at PKR 279.00 for buying and PKR 280.50 for selling.

Chinese Yuan: The PKR lost 5.46 paisa, closing at PKR 38.27 compared to PKR 38.33 in the previous session.
Japanese Yen: The PKR gained 1.33 paisa, closing at PKR 1.7673 against the previous session’s PKR 1.7806.
Euro: The PKR appreciated by 1.22 rupees, closing at PKR 302.82 compared to PKR 304.04 previously.
Swiss Franc: The PKR depreciated by 1.63 rupees, closing at PKR 313.06 compared to PKR 314.69 from the previous session.
British Pound: The PKR strengthened by 1.88 rupees, closing at PKR 359.69 compared to PKR 361.57 a day earlier.
UAE Dirham: The PKR slightly decreased by 1.21 paisa, from PKR 75.72 to PKR 75.73.
Saudi Riyal: The PKR closed at PKR 74.15, down by 1.19 paisa from its previous value of PKR 74.16.
