Pak Suzuki shuts motorcycle production plant

RAWALPINDI: Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) on Tuesday informed the Pakistan Stock Exchange that it has decided to shut down one of its motorcycle plants for three days due to a shortage of inventory level.

“Due to a shortage of inventory level, the management of the company has decided to shut down the motorcycle plant from September 20, 2023, to September 22, 2023. However, the automobile plant will remain operative. Further update, if any, in this regard will be communicated accordingly,” the company said.

However, the automobile plant will continue its operations as usual.

Earlier, PSMC had temporarily shut down its motorcycle manufacturing facility until June 10, 2023, owing to a raw material shortage. Moreover, both the car and motorcycle plants had undergone a suspension of operations from May 2 to May 9. Likewise, the car manufacturing plant had been temporarily closed from April 7 to April 28.
