The meeting cantered on exploring potential areas of collaboration within the framework of the MoU, where both organisations presented their respective functions. They discussed opportunities for information sharing and facilitating business connections between companies in Pakistan and Hong Kong.
HKTDC proposed registering Pakistani companies on its online sourcing platforms, including Click2Match, Scan2Match, and Hktdc.com. In exchange, TDAP expressed interest in having Hong Kong companies registered on the Pakistan Trade Portal, as well as sharing a link to the Pakistan exporter gallery with businesses in Hong Kong that are interested in sourcing from Pakistan.
To promote trade further, TDAP and the Consul General invited HKTDC to participate in prominent events such as Texpo, FoodAg, and HEMS. Cheung indicated a desire to visit Pakistan in the coming months to deepen potential collaborations. Both parties agreed to expedite the finalization of the MoU to facilitate smoother cooperation and significantly enhance trade ties between Pakistan and Hong Kong.
