Pakistan Stock Exchange is booming

KARACHI: The benchmark KSE-100 index crossed 49,000 psychological mark in intraday trading on Friday morning.

During the business day before suspension for Friday prayers, the index was seen trading at 49,158 points. This shows a 386.59 points increase from the opening status of 48,771.71 points.

Rupee continues its winning spree against USD

The index continued its positive trend on the 10th consecutive day. Part of this increase can be attributed to the Rupee’s continuous appreciation against US Dollar.

Pakistan Rupee has continued its winning streak against the US Dollar in interbank trading and reached Rs 277.78 with an uptick by 78 paisas on Friday.

USD has been continuously losing ground against the local unit for 30 days straight. In interbank market as well, PKR to USD rate reached Rs. 277.78 on Friday.
