Petrol price to remain unchanged for the next two weeks of March 2024

ISLAMABAD: The government has officially announced the prices for petroleum products, opting to maintain the price of petrol while slightly reducing the cost of diesel.

According to the notification issued, the price of petrol will remain steady at Rs279.75 per litre.

This decision to keep petrol price unchanged has garnered approval as it seeks to establish stability amidst volatile global oil prices.

Consumers, who had been anticipating a potential hike, can now breathe a sigh of relief.

Furthermore, the notification disclosed a decrease in the price of diesel, now set at Rs285.56 per litre, reflecting a reduction of Rs1.77.

This adjustment is anticipated to ease the financial burden on consumers, especially those heavily reliant on diesel for transportation and various other purposes.

In the previous review, the diesel price remained unchanged, while the petrol price saw an increase of Rs4.13 per litre.
