ISLAMABAD: Consumers in Pakistan are expected to face another hike in petrol and diesel prices as reports suggest a notable increase in the cost of petroleum products starting from November 16.
According to latest reports, petrol price in Pakistan is expected rise by up to Rs2.58 per litre which will take its price from Rs163.98 to Rs166.56 per litre.
High-speed diesel (HSD) may see a bigger increase of Rs5.91 per litre, increasing HSD price from existing Rs174.29 to Rs180.20 per litre.
Kerosene oil is likely to rise by Rs5.54 per litre, taking it from Rs152.05 to Rs157.59 per litre. Light diesel oil (LDO) might also see an increase of Rs5.90 per litre, which will take its price from Rs139.68 to Rs145.58 per litre.
The government is expected to announce its final decision on the price revision on November 15.
The proposed price adjustments can be attributed to rising international oil prices. The international price of petrol and HSD has surged, contributing to the increase.
