PM Kakar set to sign key agreements during Kuwait visit

WEB DESK: Prime Minister (PM) Anwaar ul Haq Kakar is embarking on a two-day visit to Kuwait, following his recent trip to the United Arab Emirates, commencing today (Tuesday).
During this visit, PM Kakar is scheduled to meet with the Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al Jaber Al Sabah, and the Prime Minister of Kuwait, Sheikh Ahmed Nawaf Al Ahmed Al Sabah.
The agenda encompasses the signing of multiple Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) spanning various sectors, including manpower, information technology, mineral exploration, food security, energy, and defence.
The longstanding and profound ties between Pakistan and Kuwait, which have endured for over six decades, are a significant aspect of this diplomatic interaction.

Notably, 2023 marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two nations.
Furthermore, on Monday, PM Kakar engaged in a bilateral meeting with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates, in Abu Dhabi.
The Chief of Army Staff, General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), was also present during this diplomatic encounter.
It’s noteworthy that the United Arab Emirates is home to 1.8 million Pakistanis, who actively contribute to the advancement, prosperity, and economic development of both nations, underscoring the deep-rooted relationship between the two brotherly countries.
