ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday inaugurated Pakistan’s first one-window Business Facilitation Centre (BFC) in Islamabad, calling it a landmark step towards creating a more business-friendly environment in the country.

The Prime Minister was briefed on the centre’s operations and services during the opening ceremony. He said the initiative would help investors and entrepreneurs who previously had to visit multiple government departments to complete essential procedures.

“With the establishment of this facility, all required services are now available under one roof, making it easier for businesses to operate,” he remarked.

Improving services for investors

The Prime Minister praised the way staff at the centre interacted with customers, describing their approach as commendable. He also lauded the efficiency of the Human Resource department, expressing confidence that young professionals would play a key role in making the BFC a success.

“Time demands that we satisfy our customers. If we win their trust, businesses will thrive, and Pakistan’s economy will move forward,” he added.

PM Shehbaz admitted there had been an unfortunate delay in setting up such a facility but maintained that early challenges would pave the way for bigger achievements in the future. “Even the most difficult beginnings can lay the foundation for great success,” he noted.

Expanding across the country

The Prime Minister said that the Business Facilitation Centre should serve as a model for the world and urged that its network be expanded nationwide. “We can make our business centres attractive and role models by providing services that meet international standards,” he said.

He concluded by stressing that Pakistan must create an investor-friendly environment to boost economic activity and assured that the government would continue working towards providing better services for businesses.
