WEB DESK: Porsche has officially unveiled the 2024 Panamera sedan, marking the entry of the four-door into its third generation.
This latest iteration boasts a host of changes, including a refreshed design, more potent engines, and enhanced handling.
In the realm of powertrains, Porsche offers four distinct E-Hybrid options, with the flagship being the formidable Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid.
This variant houses a redesigned twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine coupled with an electric motor fueled by a 25.9-kilowatt-hour battery.
The combined output stands at an impressive 670 horsepower and 685 pound-feet of torque, channelled to all four wheels through an eight-speed PDK transmission.
Accelerating from 0 to 96.5 km/h takes a mere 3.0 seconds, and it achieves a top speed of 313 km/h.
For the Panamera and Panamera 4, a turbocharged 2.9-litre V6 engine resides under the hood, delivering increased power at 348 hp and 368 lb-ft of torque.
This represents a boost of 23 horsepower and 37 lb-ft, respectively. The V6 propels the standard model to 96.5 km/h in 5.0 seconds, reaching a top speed of 272 km/h.
The Panamera 4 accomplishes the same feat in 4.7 seconds, hitting 270 km/h.
In the performance and comfort departments, the Panamera features standard two-chamber, two-valve air suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management.

This system separates compression and rebound control for the dampers, enhancing overall comfort. E-Hybrid models can opt for the Porsche Active Ride, ensuring a flat body stance and compensating for pitch and roll movements, allowing the sedan to handle corners with agility.
Rear-axle steering is available as an optional feature for the model.
The third-generation Panamera maintains a familiar appearance but incorporates notable alterations, including an additional air inlet above the front licence plate for enhanced cooling of the revamped powertrain lineup.
New window lines and standard LED Matrix Design headlights contribute to the refreshed look.
Inside, the Panamera introduces a redesigned centre console, relocating the gear selector to the right of the steering wheel, mirroring the layout of the company’s all-electric Taycan.
An optional 10.9-inch passenger display is now available, providing the passenger with access to performance data, infotainment settings, and video streaming.
Distinguishing itself, the Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid features a unique front fascia, rear diffuser, and dark bronze tailpipes.
The Turbonite colour accents extend to the side air blades, window surrounds, and the “turbo” branding on the rear, creating a distinct identity.
The interior showcases Turbonite elements, including the central tachometer in the digital instrument cluster.
