PSX crosses 90,000 level in early trading

KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) reached a historic milestone on the last trading day of the week as the KSE-100 index surpassed the 90,000 mark for the first time.

The benchmark index climbed to 90,087 points at 9:55 AM, reflecting an impressive gain of 1,141 points.

Between 9:54 AM and 10:02 AM, the benchmark index maintained a gain exceeding 1,000 points before easing slightly to 89,750 by 10:17 AM.

Despite this retreat, the index remained up 0.9 per cent, or 804 points, from its previous close of 88,945 on Thursday.
