PSX gains then loses on a fluctuating Wednesday morning

KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed a remarkable uptick on Tuesday, gaining 107 points to close at 45,910 points.
Wednesday morning saw the benchmark KSE-100 index climbing up to 46,035.09 points before losing some of those gains to hover at 45,869.14 points by the afternoon.

However, the trading volume stayed high with nearly 29 million shares trading hands on the third day of the trading week. Most of the fluctuations, upwards and downwards, came from the exploration and production companies.
Yesterday, the KSE-100 benchmark index suddenly surged in the final hour of trading. Market conditions showing slightly restored confidence can be attributed to the Pakistani Rupee maintaining strength against the US Dollar and the expected investment inflows under Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).
