PSX reverses early gains but remains above 85,000 level

KARACHI: On the fourth trading day of the week, the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) reversed its early gains.
The benchmark KSE-100 index, which initially rose after 9:30 AM, dropped by over 115 points around 9:55 AM, clocking in at 85,553 points with a trading volume of 39,808,436 shares. This marked the lowest intraday level for the index by 12:36 PM on Thursday.
Earlier in the session, the stock market had peaked, with the index gaining 344.19 points from its previous close of 85,669.27, reaching a high of 86,013 points at around 11:02 AM.
As of 12:41 PM, the PSX recovered, showing a 0.21% increase, up 179 points, with the index standing at 85,848.54 points.
It is important to note that the KSE-100 index had closed at 85,669.27 points on Wednesday.
