Pakistan Stock Exchange announces revised trading hours for Ramazan

WEB DESK: In an official statement released today, the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) disclosed the altered trading hours and office schedules for the upcoming holy month of Ramazan.

Starting from Monday to Thursday, the Pre-Open phase will commence at 09:00 am and conclude at 09:15 am, succeeded by the order matching and confirmation period from 09:15 am to 09:17 am.

The market is set to open at precisely 09:17 am, as per the notification issued by PSX.

On these weekdays, the stock market will cease trading at 01:30 pm, followed by a post-close session extending from 02:00 pm to 02:15 pm.

Come Friday, the pre-opening, order matching, and confirmation period, as well as the market opening timing, will remain consistent. However, the stock market will close early at 12:30 pm on Fridays.

The post-close session on Fridays is scheduled from 01:00 pm to 01:15 pm.

Additionally, the office hours for stock market staff have been adjusted. From Monday to Thursday, the office will operate from 09:00 am to 03:00 pm.

On Fridays, the office timing is from 09:00 am to 02:00 pm, according to the notification.

These changes in trading hours and office schedules aim to accommodate the observance of Ramazan while ensuring operational efficiency within the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
