Share market jumps 500 points even before noon

KARACHI: Pakistan Stock Market (PSX) posted moderate gains on Monday after fluctuating between gains and losses through the day.

However, on Tuesday, the share market began on a bullish note and posted notable gains early morning. Today, the benchmark KSE-100 index climbed over 500 points even before noon.

Trading began on a positive note when the index opened at Monday’s closing of 57,077.96 points and quickly amassed 505.54 points to hover around 57,583.50 points by midday.

The trading volume was also hearty with over 160 million shares trading hands before noon. The market growth was seen from multiple segments, showing an overall improving confidence in the market.
