ISLAMABAD: In a recent development, the District Administration of Islamabad has revoked the No Objection Certificate (NOC) previously granted for the fundraising event planned for Shaukat Khanum Hospital Karachi.
The decision, communicated through an official document, cites non-compliance with stipulated regulations as the basis for withdrawal.
The communication, addressed to Manager Younus Awan of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Trust, was issued by the Additional District Magistrate Islamabad.
According to the document, the NOC, initially issued via a previously referred letter, is now null and void with immediate effect.
The directive explicitly instructs the organisers not to proceed with the fundraising activity, which was slated to take place at a private hotel in Islamabad on Friday.

Failure to adhere to this instruction will prompt the initiation of necessary legal proceedings under the prevailing laws.
The withdrawal of the NOC raises questions about the reasons behind the decision and its potential impact on the planned fundraising efforts for Shaukat Khanum Hospital in Karachi.
It also underscores the importance of adhering to regulatory requirements for such events.
The Shaukat Khanum Memorial Trust has yet to release an official statement regarding this development. The District Administration’s decision adds a layer of complexity to the situation, requiring further investigation into the circumstances leading to the withdrawal of the NOC.
