Sindh gov’t reports 22 per cent increase in tax revenue

KARACHI: The Sindh government disclosed tax collection figures for the current fiscal year, revealing a 22 per cent rise in revenue generation compared to the same month last year.
In October, the province amassed a total of Rs83.86 billion. The provincial government credited its efforts to increase the revenue generation to improve economic resilience.

The increase in tax revenue can be attributed to several factors, including improved compliance measures and better tax administration strategies.
Governments across the country had been trying to streamline tax collection process and minimise evasion, which has traditionally posed a huge challenge.
