Stock market finally turned tide closing in green


PSX new all time high level

KARACHI: After four days of ending the trading day in red, the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) finally got a breather on Thursday when the index closed nearly 760 points up.

The benchmark KSE-100 index stayed positive but slow up until the afternoon, when around 2 PM it shot up and closed with gains.

One of the factors driving this hike was the announcement of Mari Petroleum’s financial results.

By the close of trading, the KSE-100 had risen by 759.73 points, or 0.99 per cent, ending the day at 77,874.22 points. During the day, the index touched highest of 77,969.26 points with 883.79 points increase and dipping to the day’s lowest at of 77,085.47 points.
