Stock market fluctuates up and down

KARACHI: Pakistan Stock Market has shown fluctuating trend on the final trading day of the week, building up on the variabilities seen through the week.
The benchmark KSE-100 index posted an impressive upwards trend on Monday, followed by fluctuations on Tuesday, resuming recovery on Wednesday and maintaining strength on Thursday.
Experts believe Pakistani rupee’s current strength unlikely to last
On Friday (today), the KSE-100 index opened at 51,185.28 points, moderately rising to 51,269.73 points, before eroding 221 points to hover around 50,963.93 points by 11 a.m.
Trading volume also remained moderate on Friday morning with approximately 48 million shares trading hands in the first two hours of trading.
