KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has not been performing too well since the beginning of the current week, with Tuesday brining a substantial decline in the benchmark index by over 900 points. Much of this decline was attributed to the political upheaval experience in the country yesterday.

However, on Wednesday (yesterday), the benchmark KSE-100 index seemed to develop some resistance against political developments and gained more than it lost during the day.
Today again saw the market being bearish. The index opened at 61,979.18 points and quickly increased to 62,255.17 points, and then lost to 61,877.13 points by noon. The growth and the decline came from various sectors, showing an overall fluctuation in the market, as opposed to any one or few segments leading charge of the KSE-100 movement.
