Stock Market opens at 75,084 points after volatile session yesterday

KARACHI: On Monday, the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) closed at 75,084 points ending the week with an end to its record high run.

Throughout the trading session, yesterday, the benchmark KSE-100 index exhibited volatility, peaking at intraday high of 75,618.49 points and hitting lowest of the day at 74,734.25 points, losing 608.1 points. The total trading volume for the KSE-100 index was recorded at 141.36 million shares.

PSX ends record high run, closes day in red

The sectors that contributed to the decline included commercial banks, investment banks, investment companies, cement, E&P, and fertilizer. Conversely, the index saw some support from Technology & Communication, Engineering, Automobile Parts & Accessories, Power Generation & Distribution, and Leather & Tanneries.

In the broader market, the All-Share index concluded the session at 48,646.22 points, reflecting a net loss of 123.24 points.
