Stock market poised to increase gains today


PSX closes in green

KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) concluded Tuesday’s trading session at new record high of 80,672.06 points, marking an increase of 105.86 points. During the trading session, the index crossed the 81,000 points limit for the first time as well.

Throughout the session, the benchmark KSE-100 index experienced fluctuations within a 556.57-point range, reaching the day’s highest at 81,087.42 points and touching the day’s lowest at 80,530.85 points.

PSX closing: KSE-100 achieves record high with 105-point increase

Today (Wednesday), the index opens at yesterday’s closing of 80,672 points, amidst hopes of increasing the gains. During the outgoing week, the index managed to tear through the 80,000 points mark, and that growth trend seems to have continued into the current week.

Improving macroeconomic indicators and expectations of foreign investment are also lending confidence to the market.
