In an unexpected development, Suzuki Pakistan has raised the prices of its bikes for the second time in less 20 days. To the dismay of consumers, the company increased the prices of the Suzuki GD 110S and Suzuki GS 150 by up to Rs18,000. These revised prices took effect on October 1, 2023.
Consequently, the Suzuki GD 110S will now cost Rs352,000, up from Rs335,000, indicating a significant increase of Rs17,000. Similarly, the Suzuki GS 150’s price has surged from Rs364,000 to Rs382,000, reflecting a hike of Rs18,000.
In an official statement, Suzuki clarified that the retail prices include ex-factory and freight charges. The company also noted that the prices are subject to change without any notice, and the price at the time of delivery will be applicable.
Additionally, consumers will be required to pay government taxes on top of the revised prices.
This drastic increase in Suzuki bike prices, especially for models like the GD110S, has left the average bike buyer astounded. Motorcycles like these are typically chosen by middle-class families for their daily commute.

However, the successive and steep price hikes are gradually making two-wheelers unaffordable, mirroring a concerning trend seen in the automobile industry. Strikingly, Suzuki has not provided any explanation for this recent surge in prices.
Previously, auto companies cited the volatile exchange rate as a reason for frequent price hikes. However, in the past couple of weeks, the Pakistani rupee has actually strengthened against the US dollar.
