WEB DESK: In a noteworthy development, the prices of renowned tea brands have experienced a downturn at utility stores across Pakistan, coinciding with a marginal 0.06 per cent decrease in weekly inflation for the week concluding on Thursday, December 14.

A spokesperson for Utility Stores conveyed that various tea brands now reflect reduced prices, with adjustments ranging from Rs60 to Rs110.

The detailed breakdown includes a significant Rs110 decrease for the 800-gramme tea pack, a Rs60 reduction for the 430-gramme pack, and another Rs60 deduction for the 900-gramme.

Simultaneously, a report indicates that the weekly inflation, gauged by the Sensitive Price Indicator (SPI), demonstrated a slight contraction of 0.06 percent across combined consumption groups during the week concluding on December 14.

The SPI for this period, within the specified group, recorded a modest dip from 311.78 points to 311.58 points, as disclosed by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
