KARACHI: In a significant advancement for the banking sector in Pakistan, UBL has officially become one of the first banks in the country to integrate Google Wallet for its Mastercard and Visa Debit Cards.
This innovative move promises to provide UBL customers with a faster, more secure, and convenient way to manage their payments, both in-store and online.
The integration allows UBL cardholders to easily add their debit cards to Google Wallet on their Android and Wear OS devices.
With this functionality, users can now indulge in a seamless shopping experience by tapping and paying at stores, making online purchases, and executing in-app transactions effortlessly.
This user-friendly feature is a timely response to the growing demand for digital payment solutions in Pakistan, providing enhanced convenience and security for everyday transactions.
One of the standout benefits of utilising Google Wallet is the array of advanced security measures it employs. UBL customers can rest assured that their card details are protected with industry-standard tokenization, biometric authentication, and device passcodes, ensuring secure transactions at every turn.
Getting started with Google Wallet is a breeze. Customers simply need to download the app from the Play Store, add their UBL Debit Card, and they’re ready to make contactless payments in no time. In the event their device is lost or stolen, Google’s “Find My Device” feature allows users to lock or wipe their data remotely, further safeguarding their personal information.
