LAHORE: As the majority of motorcycle prices from brands like Honda, Yamaha and Suzuki have gone out of reach for many individuals in Pakistan, people have now started looking for alternative brands like United that offer similar motorcycles at a lower price.
For instance, Honda’s CG 125 motorcycle currently costs Rs235,000, while a motorcycle with the same shape and engine capacity from United, known as the United US125 Euro 2, costs Rs165,000 as of today. This means the 125cc bike from United is about Rs70,000 cheaper than Honda’s CG 125.
Interestingly, in terms of looks, both bikes’ parts appear almost identical, including the fuel tank, headlights, taillights, side indicators, tank covers, handles, and mud flaps. If both are parked together, it can be difficult to tell whether it is a Honda CG125 or a United US125 until you spot the company’s name or the Honda or United logo.
The United US125 comes with a 4-speed transmission and a 125cc engine. It features a 9-litre fuel tank, which, based on today’s petrol price of Rs252.63 per litre in Pakistan, can be filled for approximately Rs2,273.
Used United 125 price in Pakistan
For those who do not have the budget for a brand new United US125, used models are easily available in second-hand motorcycle markets in cities like Lahore, Rawalpindi, Karachi, Islamabad, Faisalabad and Gujranwala. For example, a used United US125 2022 model can be purchased for as low as Rs85,000, while the newer 2024 model is available for around Rs120,000.
Online platforms such as OLX and PakWheels also offer listings for slightly used or even 2025 model US125 motorcycles. Some 2025 model bikes listed on these sites are priced as low as Rs125,000 and are in almost brand-new condition, having very low mileage. The United 125 Deluxe, known for its design, can also be bought for around Rs100,000, although it may be 4–5 years old, as the Deluxe 125 variant has been discontinued.
United 125 installment plans
Another option for those who do not want to buy a used bike and cannot afford a brand new United US125 is to purchase it on instalments. Many companies and banks are offering these bikes on lease or easy instalment plans, with monthly payments starting from as low as Rs11,000.
There are typically four instalment options available for those planning to buy a United US125. These include plans of 6, 9, 12, and 18 months, all with a similar advance payment. The smaller the monthly instalment, the longer the repayment period.
In each plan, the buyer is required to pay an advance of Rs49,000. Under the six-month plan, the monthly instalment is Rs28,650. For the nine-month option, the monthly payment comes down to Rs19,950. If one chooses the 12-month plan, the monthly instalment is Rs15,300. Meanwhile, the most extended plan, spread over 18 months, requires a monthly payment of Rs11,550.
Plan duration | Advance payment (PKR) | Monthly installment (PKR) |
6 months | 49,000 | 28,650 |
9 months | 49,000 | 19,950 |
12 months | 49,000 | 15,300 |
18 months | 49,000 | 11,550 |
These installment plans are provided for understanding and are based on an offer from an Lahore-based company that leases appliances and bikes. Other companies and banks, such as Bank Alfalah and Faysal Bank, may offer different plans, prices, and terms.
United US125 fuel average
Users of the United US125 motorcycle also report a decent fuel average. However, fuel consumption varies depending on how the bike is driven and the type of route. For instance, routes without signals or those where the bike maintains a constant speed tend to consume less fuel.
On the other hand, frequent stops and re-acceleration can lead to higher fuel usage. Various websites claim a fuel average of over 36 kilometres per litre. However, reviews on blogs are mixed. Some users say their United US125 covers 43 kilometres per litre, while others report it gives 36 kilometres per litre.
Talking about performance, the United US125 does not feel underpowered, as it comes with a 125cc engine and a top speed of 120 km/h. Some users on blogs even claim that the United US125 has more power than Honda’s CG125. In terms of comfort, it features the same seat as the Honda 125cc. So, if you travel 15 to 20 kilometres daily, your back is less likely to hurt compared to riding a Honda CD70 or United US70. Clearly, the seat is better than those found on 70cc bikes.
Regarding maintenance, another plus point of buying a United US125 is that it is easier to maintain compared to Yamaha YBR and some Suzuki models, as its parts are easily available almost everywhere. In fact, some parts from the Honda CG125 can also be used in this bike.
