US dollar appreciates against Pak rupee

KARACHI: The US dollar continued to appreciate against Pakistani rupee in interbank trade on Friday.

The greenback gained 27 paisas in early trade on the last working day of the week and went up to 285.

On Thursday, Pak rupee strengthened against the American currency by 14 paisas and closed at 285.50.

Stock market shatters all records – crosses 59,000 points

In the open market, the Pakistani rupee recorded losses against the US dollar while the currency remained largely stable in the inter-bank market.

According to money changers, the rupee was being quoted at 286.25 for selling and 283.25 for buying purposes for customers.
