Interbank closing: PKR strengthens by 7.79 paisa against USD

KARACHI: The Pakistani rupee (PKR) ended its recent decline with a modest gain of 7.79 paisa against the US dollar (USD) during Thursday’s interbank session.
The local currency concluded the day at PKR 278.66 per USD, up from the previous closing rate of PKR 278.74 per USD on Wednesday.
Throughout the trading day, the rupee fluctuated, reaching an intraday high bid of PKR 278.85 and a low ask of PKR 278.65.
In the open market, exchange companies reported the US dollar at PKR 278.50 for buying and PKR 280.50 for selling.

GBP to PKR: The British Pound decreased by PKR 1.30, ending at PKR 356.48 compared to PKR 357.78 the previous day.
CHF to PKR: The Swiss Franc gained PKR 1.46, closing at PKR 317.84, up from PKR 316.37.
EUR to PKR: The Euro saw a gain of 40.46 paisa, ending at PKR 301.03 from PKR 301.43.
CNY to PKR: The Chinese Yuan fell by 11.58 paisa, closing at PKR 38.48, down from PKR 38.59.
SAR in PKR: The Saudi Riyal dropped 2.67 paisa to close at PKR 74.27, compared to PKR 74.30.
JPY to PKR: The Japanese Yen saw a slight decline of 0.78 paisa, ending at PKR 1.8594, from PKR 1.8516.
AED to PKR: The UAE Dirham decreased by 2.12 paisa, closing at PKR 75.89, down from PKR 75.87.
