PKR rises 7 paisa against US dollar during intraday trade

KARACHI: On the first trading day of the week, the Pakistani rupee (PKR) rose by 7 paisa against the US dollar (USD) during early market hours.

According to the Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan (ECAP), the rupee was valued at Rs277.60 against the greenback before 10:00 AM.

In Friday’s interbank session, the PKR increased by 7.04 paisa or 0.03 per cent against the USD, closing at Rs277.67 compared to the previous closing of Rs277.74.

So far this calendar year, the PKR has gained Rs4.19 or 1.51 per cent. During the current fiscal year, the PKR has risen by 67.15 paisa or 0.24 per cent against the dollar.
