USD to PKR intraday trade

WEB DESK: The Pakistani rupee (PKR) on the second last trading day of the week appreciated 0.08 per cent against the US dollar (USD) during the early trading hours.

The home unit gained 22 paisa and was recorded at Rs277.63 per USD before 11 AM on Thursday.

In the previous session, Pakistani currency rose slightly by 0.03 per cent, or 7.65 paisa, against the USD in Wednesday’s interbank session and ended the day at Rs277.85 versus the USD.

Since the start of 2025, PKR has appreciated 1.44 per cent, or Rs4.01, against the USD, while considering the ongoing financial year 2025, PKR has increased by 49.12 paisa, or 0.18 per cent, versus the American currency.

Internationally, the greenback was seen at a one-year high against other major currencies and looks like the gain is fuelled by Donald Trump’s win and higher yields. It is expected that the greenback is headed for a fifth consecutive daily gain.
