Three-day Literary Fair organized at NED University

The NED University of Engineering and Technology organized a three-day literature festival under the auspices of the student affairs department of the University. In the three-day literature fair, Vice Chancellor Dr. Sarosh Hashmat Lodhi termed the literature fair as a means of connecting engineering students with literature. The chief guest, Chairman Anjuman Tarqa-e-Urdu Pakistan, Wajid Jawad welcomed the organization of literary fair under Society Literary and Publication of Engineering University.
The Bad-e-Noo Bahar Mela started with a formal recitation of the Divine word. In the story-telling session, story-tellers Maysam Naqvi, Fawad Khan and Nazrul Hasan recited excerpts from comedian Mushtaq Ahmed Yousufi’s story, and the auditorium erupted with wows.
Renowned poets Hidayat Ali Sayer, Hijaz Naqvi and Urooj Zahra performed the duties of judges in the field of Bazm-e-Shaar-i-Yaran (Bait Bazi). Shoaib Ahmad was the judge of Essay writing under the name of Purwarsh-i Loh wa Qalam, Raoz Hamas and Shiza Ali were the judges of Maswar-e Bihar, Hina Khan, Munira Chaghatai, Mah Noor Tufail and Monis Azad also performed the duties of judges.
Former President Literary and Publication Society Areeb Ahmed presented a theater titled “Ram and Laila”. In which “divide and rule” was shown as the topic of discussion. The audience could not remain without applauding this theatre which was organized after five years in the Jamia.
Shakil Ahmed was the moderator in Yad-e-Shaira, while the guests included Anbarin Haseeb Anbar, Farast Rizvi and Alauddin Khanzada. The role of media in modern times, moderator Shoaib Ahmed and guests Pirzada Salman, Sidra Iqbal and Bilal Hassan participated in the program.
In the session on current affairs, renowned economist Qaiser Bengali and renowned journalist Mazhar Abbas covered the country’s situation. Mawra Farooq, Alishba Fariq, Ayesha Siddiqui, Anshal Rizvi, Musafara Anwar, Taman Shamim, Qadsia Zaidi have registered their name on the canvas of success with excellent performance.
According to Registrar NED Syed Ghazanfar Naqvi and In-charge Literary and Publication Society Mahin Tufail Dehraj, a large number of students from universities, schools and colleges participated in various competitions including essay writing, bait bazi, art painting in the three-day literary fair.
Qawal Abdullah Niazi and Waqas Niazi recited Sufi words to conclude the three-day literary festival.
