Cyndi Lauper 2024: Farewell tour, documentary and collabs


WEB DESK: Iconic singer Cyndi Lauper is set for an eventful 2024, with announcements of a farewell tour, a documentary release, and collaborations on the horizon.

The septuagenarian is preparing for her first major tour in ten years. “The Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour” will span 23 dates across North America. The international tour is expected to start on October 18.

To temper the excitement of her fans, Lauper herself has not officially confirmed that the tour will be her last. Questions still linger regarding the exact dates of her tour.

In addition to the tour, Lauper released a documentary titled “Let The Canary Sing” on Tuesday. The documentary will explore the pop queen’s career spanning several decades.

Lauper has also partnered with Pophouse Entertainment Group. Many speculate that the collaboration aims to preserve her legacy through the company’s expertise. Pophouse Entertainment specializes in music, podcasts, live shows, and gaming.

The company creates, acquires, and develops entertainment brands, including music rights and other intellectual properties. They are associated with notable brands like ABBA, Swedish House Mafia, and Avicii.
