HUM TV’s upcoming drama ‘Goonj’ will be navigating workplace harassment

WEB DESK: HUM TV is set to premiere Goonj, a drama that shines a spotlight on workplace harassment and a woman’s fight for dignity, starting Monday, 21st July at 8:00 PM.

With an ensemble cast including Komal Meer, Mirza Gohar Rasheed, Feroz Kadri, and Hira Tareen, Goonj tells the story of Zarnab, who is a self-made, principled woman whose professional success triggers a vicious backlash from a male colleague unable to accept her rise.

Zarnab, portrayed by Komal Meer, is a resilient young woman raised by her father to value education and integrity. She is shown to overcome life’s challenges to become a confident professional, earning respect through hard work. However, her promotion unsettles Nabeel (played by Mirza Gohar Rasheed), a misogynistic colleague who retaliates with harassment and slander. He is shown partaking in discussions as to how it is easier to excel at workplace is one is a woman.

Faced with injustice, Zarnab refuses to stay silent. Goonj follows her journey as she challenges systemic oppression, transforming her personal struggle into a rallying cry for countless women who endure similar battles.
