Is Pakistani YouTuber Irfan Junejo teaming up with FC Barcelona for a new project?

WEB DESK: Pakistani YouTuber and filmmaker Irfan Junejo has revealed that he is in discussions with world-renowned football club FC Barcelona for a potential collaboration, marking what could become a landmark project for Pakistan’s digital creator community.

Speaking at the Mediaverse 2.0 event held at the University of Karachi, Junejo shared that the talks are still in their early stages but that initial meetings have already taken place. “If all goes well, this collaboration will soon become a reality,” he said, expressing optimism about the project’s progress.

With over 1.4 million subscribers on his YouTube channel, Irfan Junejo is celebrated for his cinematic travel vlogs and distinctive visual storytelling style, which have earned him international recognition.

Industry insiders believe the potential partnership could open new doors for Pakistani digital creators, helping elevate the country’s creative talent on a global stage and strengthening Pakistan’s presence in the international content landscape.

Irfan Junejo’s journey from a football-loving boy in Karachi’s Malir to one of Pakistan’s most recognised YouTubers is a story of reinvention, passion and purpose. Initially aspiring to be a professional footballer, Junejo abandoned the dream after realising there was little future for the sport in Pakistan. As per a profile by Dawn Aurora, he pivoted toward marketing, drawn by the art of storytelling, and discovered photography when his mother gifted him a camera. What began as wedding shoots and promotional videos for his local football club soon evolved into a fascination with visual storytelling that defined his next chapter.

In 2017, Junejo launched his YouTube channel, producing daily vlogs that captured ordinary moments with cinematic flair. His blend of authenticity, humour and aesthetics quickly attracted hundreds of thousands of followers, making him one of Pakistan’s most influential digital creators. But success came at a cost, burnout and loss of privacy, prompting him to take a step back in 2019 to rebuild balance and creativity.

Junejo later returned with a more reflective approach, focusing on meaningful content rather than daily uploads. With over 1.4 million subscribers and collaborations with major brands, he continues to shape Pakistan’s digital storytelling scene. Yet, he remains grounded, describing success as “feeling free”, creating on his own terms, without compromise. For Junejo, the camera is not just a tool for fame but a means to live, learn and tell stories that matter.
