Jab they met: Shahid, Kareena IIFA reunion sparks nostalgia

WEB DESK: Bollywood movies buff had their googly eyes out as actors Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor chatted away briefly at the IIFA 2025 press conference in Jaipur, taking the fans back to Ye Ishq Haye days from the popular Jab We Met (2007).

In the past, both actors were amongst the most discussed couples and were always making news till their breakup which is why the moment went viral and caused a frenzy. Shahid Kapoor, however, was quick to address the nostalgia and said that it is not new for them to run into one another: “For us, it’s nothing new. Aaj stage par mile, aur idhar udhar milte rehte hain (We met on stage today, and we keep running into each other here and there), so it’s totally normal for us. If people felt nice, it’s nice.”

Both Shahid and Kareena are doing remarkably well in their personal and professional lives as Shahid got hitched to Mira Rajput and has two children while Kareena is married to actor Saif Ali Khan and has two sons.

The duo also appeared together in Udta Punjab after a hiatus of many years.
