WEB DESK: Netflix’s hit series Wednesday is back for a second season and would be on phones, tablets or TV by 12pm (8am BST), and this time, fans have even more to look forward to including a guest appearance by superstar Lady Gaga. While Jenna Ortega reprises her role as Wednesday Addams, Gaga joins the cast as Rosaline Rotwood, a legendary and mysterious professor at Nevermore Academy who’s bound to shake things up.
Lady Gaga’s appearance, however, is slated for the second half of the season, premiering on September 3, 2025. Netflix has confirmed she will not feature in the first batch of episodes launching on August 6. While details about her character remain mostly under wraps, reports suggest Gaga may also perform an original song titled Dead Dance, though this hasn’t been officially confirmed. The Bloody Mary dance earlier became a viral Tiktok trend so it would be interesting to see which trend picks up this time.
Beyond Gaga, the season boasts an impressive lineup of guest stars, including Joanna Lumley, Thandiwe Newton, Jamie McShane, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo, Joonas Suotamo, Fred Armisen, and Christopher Lloyd. Frances O’Connor is also set to appear in the second part.

This season, chaos hits closer to home as Wednesday’s brother, Pugsley, joins Nevermore. Her strained relationship with Morticia, mysterious developments in her psychic powers, and unsettling visions, now accompanied by black tears, hint at deeper threats within the academy.
A third season has already been confirmed, with a release window expected in 2026 or early 2027. For now, fans can dive into season 2, and count down to Gaga’s grand entrance.
