Qarz-e-Jaan’s debut episode captivates viewers’ hearts

As the end of the quarter approaches, the audience is filled with anticipation and anxiety, wondering which drama, actor, or storyline will emerge as the standout. Following the success of prior dramas like ‘Zard Paton Ka Bunn’  viewers eagerly awaited a new series to fill its time slot. After a two-week wait, ‘Qarz-e-Jaan’ has debuted, quickly winning the admiration of the audience with its first episodes.

Starring the immensely talented Yumna Zaidi as Nashwa, a dedicated daughter and aspiring lawyer, the drama features Osama Khan in the lead role, supported by a talented cast including Namir Khan, Tazeen Hussain, Sakina Samo, Deepak Parwani, Aniqa Zulfiqar, Faisal Rehman, Daniyal Aamir, Salma Asim, Ismat Zaidi, Fajr Mursalin, Tabassum Arif, and Mubashar Khan. Written by Rabia Razaq and directed by Saqib Khan, under the banner of Momina Duraid, ‘Qarz-e-Jaan’ presents an engaging story.

The narrative revolves around Nashwa, a high-achieving law student who faces challenges after her father’s death. Living with her mother in her maternal home, she is a courageous and principled young woman determined to pursue her legal career, despite the obstacles presented by her uncle, Bakhtiar (Deepak Parwani). Yumna Zaidi’s performance is commendable, showcasing her commitment to the role and bringing depth to her character, who seeks a promising future rather than being confined to traditional expectations of marriage following her education.

The supporting character Burhan, portrayed by Osama Khan, also shines in his role as a well-established lawyer. His chemistry with Yumna adds to the drama’s appeal. Osama’s portrayal of Burhan has solidified his status as a versatile actor, particularly following their collaboration in the film ‘Nayab’.

Tazeen Hussain, daughter of legendary actor Talat Hussain, plays Nashwa’s mother—a caring yet confident figure who navigates family dynamics with grace. The character of Bakhtiar and Nashwa’s conniving grandmother, portrayed by Sakina Samo, add intriguing layers to the story.

With a promising start, ‘Qarze-e-Jaan’ is resonating well with audiences, thanks to its engaging storytelling, impressive cinematography, and skilful lighting. Following the first episode’s release, viewers have expressed their excitement and are eagerly looking forward to the next instalment.

As we anticipate more dramas from HUM Network, including ‘Meem Se Mohabbat’ ‘Tanhai’ ‘Tan Mann Neel-o-Neel’ and ‘Dil Ek Sheher-e-Junoon’ the upcoming week will also showcase the highly awaited 9th Hum Awards. Stay tuned for more updates and honest reviews of your favourite shows!
