SOC Films launches ‘Frame It Forward’ campaign

SOC Films

WEB DESK: SOC Films, led by two-time Academy Award-winning filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, has unveiled Frame It Forward, a storytelling initiative aimed at amplifying the work of Pakistan’s grassroots organisations and nonprofits.

According to a press release issued by SOC, the campaign will select one organisation to receive a professionally produced short film, free of cost, showcasing its mission and impact. The project seeks to highlight changemakers in fields such as education, climate action, children’s rights, gender equality, refugee support, and community health.

“Too often, vital work in our communities remains unseen because their stories aren’t told,” said Obaid-Chinoy, CEO of SOC Films. “Frame It Forward is our commitment to using film as a tool for visibility and social change.”

The initiative builds on SOC Films’ earlier pro bono documentaries for organisations like ChildLife Foundation, Karachi Down Syndrome Program (KDSP), and Indus Hospital. Nonprofits across Pakistan can apply through an open process until July 25, 2025. The final film will premiere on August 14, 2025, marking Pakistan’s Independence Day.
