Taylor Swift and Hugh Jackman allegedly witnessed Reynolds confront Baldoni over Blake Lively claims

Justin Baldoni - Blake Lively legal battle

Taylor Swift and Hugh Jackman were reportedly present when Ryan Reynolds confronted Justin Baldoni over concerns that his behaviour towards Blake Lively amounted to fat-shaming during the production of It Ends With Us.

According to a newly unsealed exhibit submitted in the ongoing legal dispute, Baldoni visited Reynolds and Lively’s New York penthouse on 25 April 2023. A timeline, shared by Wayfarer Studios co-founder Jamey Heath’s team with Baldoni’s publicist in July 2024, claims Reynolds “unloaded” on Baldoni for allegedly asking about Lively’s weight. The document states that Baldoni was left “completely embarrassed” and apologised.

It is also claimed within the document that Swift, 35, and Jackman, 57, were inside the apartment at the time. Representatives for both stars declined to comment.

Lively, 38, filed a lawsuit against her co-star and director in December 2024, accusing him of sexual harassment and retaliation, allegations which Baldoni denies. The trial is scheduled for March 2026. Swift and Jackman have since been named as potential witnesses by Lively’s legal team.

Jackman publicly showed support for Lively by attending the New York premiere of the film in August 2024 and later appearing alongside her and Reynolds on the cover of Vogue.

Swift’s representatives have previously distanced her from the film, stating that her sole involvement was granting permission for the use of one song, “My Tears Ricochet”. They stressed that she had no role in casting, creative decisions or filming and that her name was being used to attract attention to the dispute.

In her amended filing, Lively’s lawyers accused Baldoni of contacting her personal trainer without permission and implying she should lose weight for a scene. Baldoni has said he reached out only to determine how to safely prepare for a lifting scene, citing long-standing back issues.

What began as an on-set disagreement has now escalated into a high-stakes Hollywood courtroom battle.
