DUBAI: Hong Kong XI were sent to bat first after Sri Lanka won the toss of their Asia Cup clash here tonight.

Sri Lanka’s lower-order batters Dasun Shanaka remained unbeaten, contributing 6 off 3 while Hasaranga took the advantage of supportive partner Shanaka, playing havoc with his bat. He finished the game after scoring unbeaten 20-run from only nine balls.

Meanwhile, top-order batter Nissanka was named both Player of the Match and Most Valuable Player for his 68 off 44 balls.

Hong Kong had the opportunity to claim Kusal Mendis as he was allowed to manage only 11 off 14 balls. Kamil Mishara and Kusal Perera added only 19 and 20 each to the team’s total 119-4 in 16 overs.
