COLOMBO: The Pakistan and India cricket teams have arrived at the R Premadasa Stadium for their highly anticipated T20 World Cup 2026 clash on Sunday.
The toss is scheduled to take place at 6 pm, while the match will begin at 6:30 pm.
However, weather conditions could play a decisive role in the contest. Reports suggest overcast skies over Colombo, with a strong possibility of rain interrupting the game.
According to the weather forecast, there is a 94 per cent chance of rainfall during the match hours. The Sri Lankan Department of Meteorology has also warned that a low-pressure area is likely to develop over the south-eastern Bay of Bengal, which could result in significant rainfall in the region.
In case the match is washed out, both teams will share points as there is no reserve day scheduled for the fixture.
