ISLAMABAD, (Zahid Gishkori): Former Principal Secretary to Prime Minister, Azam Khan on Friday told National Accountability Bureau (NAB) that chairman PTI had handed over the £190 million deal to Former Accountability Advisor and head of Assets Recovery Unit Shahzad Akbar.
The investigation carried out by HUM Investigation Team (HIT) reveals that on February 2 2019, Shahzad Akbar allegedly presented the record of the £190 million deal to the former Prime Minister in a meeting shrouded in confidentiality.
According to Azam Khan, the record of this entire deal is in the possession of Shahzad Akbar, and chairman PTI.
Khan also told NAB that Akbar never provided details of the deal to anyone other than the former PM, and despite the fact that five members of the cabinet wanted Akbar’s briefing on the matter, the then government did not present the case in cabinet division.
