Govt forms special committee to address issues of overseas Pakistanis

Islamabad: The federal government has established a special committee to address the issues of overseas Pakistanis. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will lead the special cabinet committee.

The committee will focus on the welfare and well-being of overseas Pakistanis, job creation, and negotiations with friendly countries. Its members will include the Ministers of Education, Health, Overseas Pakistanis, Foreign Affairs, Industry, and Commerce.

The committee will have the authority to negotiate international agreements and develop an action plan to tackle smuggling, worker exploitation, immigration, and technical issues.

It will enhance policies to facilitate skilled individuals in securing more overseas job opportunities, oversee the adoption of new technology, and formulate policies related to new skills. Additionally, the cabinet committee will prepare an action plan for international agreements.
