ISLAMABAD: The federal government has designated former Chief Justice Tasadduq Jilani as the chairman of the inquiry commission tasked with investigating the letter penned by six judges of the Islamabad High Court (IHC). These judges had raised concerns about the purported involvement of intelligence agencies in judicial matters.
Former Chief Justice Jilani will lead the inquiry commission, and he has also confirmed the development to the Hum Investigation team. While speaking, former Chief Justice Jilani mentioned that he has accepted the government’s request.
He further stated that accepting this responsibility is a significant task, and he will fulfil it in the light of the law and constitution. The federal government has formed this commission in response to a letter from six judges of the Islamabad High Court.
