DADU/Umerkot: More than 200 civil servants, including presiding officers and assistant presiding officers, did not show up for election duty in Dadu and Umerkot districts of Sindh on Wednesday.

District Returning Officer (DRO) of Dadu said that arrest warrants have been issued for the absentee employees and 10 of them have been arrested so far.

He added that efforts were under way to arrest the remaining employees and more warrants are being issued for those who are still missing.

The DRO said that the absence of the government employees has caused difficulties in the conduct of the elections and urged them to report to their assigned polling stations as soon as possible.
