A whole civilization to die tonight: Trump

WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump issued a strong warning via a Truth Social post, stating that “the whole of Iranian civilization will die tonight,” as Iranian leadership rejected recent peace proposals and has not reopened the Strait of Hormuz, scheduled until Tuesday.

Iranian authorities argued that the US framework ignores Tehran’s core concerns and therefore is unacceptable. They emphasized that negotiations cannot proceed until their demands are met, including a permanent cessation of hostilities, lifting of sanctions, and compensation for damages to key infrastructure resulting from US-Israel strikes that began on February 28.

In his post, Trump warned that Iran has until 8 PM EST on Tuesday to make a decision. If they fail to comply, he claimed, “the entire country can be taken out in one night.” He urged Iran to follow his instructions, adding that “[the civilization] will never be brought back again” if they do not.

Trump also said that “less radicalized minds” are now prevailing in Tehran following US Operation Epic Fury, suggesting that this could pave the way for a positive outcome.

He said, “Tonight, the world will witness one of the most important moments in history.”

“Now that we have complete and total regime change, where different, smarter, and less radicalized minds prevail, maybe something revolutionarily wonderful can happen, who knows?”

The statement concluded with a strong assertion: “Forty-seven years of extortion, corruption, and death will finally end.”
