WEB DESK: Aaron Taylor-Johnson responded to James Bond role rumours on Friday.
Social media buzzed with rumors and speculation about Taylor-Johnson taking on the famous British spy role following recent reports and interviews.
Reports surfaced suggesting that producers of the James Bond series formally offered Taylor-Johnson the opportunity to portray the next iteration of the MI6 agent. The last actor to play the famous British Spy was Daniel Craig.

The reports gained traction after Taylor-Johnson reportedly impressed producers during a screen test.
However, Taylor-Johnson sought to distance himself from these rumours. He said he was currently committed to projects like “The Fall Guy,” “Nosferatu,” and “Kraven the Hunter.” In various interviews, he expressed reluctance to discuss future roles, preferring to focus on his present projects.
Despite the “Tenet’’ actor’s reluctance, reports suggested that the studio behind the James Bond franchise was eager to cast him. Sources suggested that Eon Productions had already extended a formal offer and now just awaited Taylor-Johnson’s decision.
The speculation surrounding Taylor-Johnson’s potential casting arose amidst an extensive search for Daniel Craig’s successor, who portrayed James Bond from 2006 to 2021. Other actors previously rumoured for the role include Henry Cavill, Tom Hardy, and Idris Elba.
Despite Taylor-Johnson’s denial for now, the actor’s fans have already started uploading fan-artwork depicting him as James Bond.
