PESHAWAR: In a strategic move, Pashtunkhawa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) Chairman Mahmood Khan Achakzai has withdrawn his nomination papers for NA 265 Pishin, throwing his support behind Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
The official announcement by PkMAP on Friday revealed Achakzai’s decision to step back from the electoral race in favor of Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
This move comes as Maulana Fazlur Rehman is entering the electoral arena in Balochistan for the first time, contesting for a National Assembly seat.

Achakzai’s withdrawal is seen by political observers as a strategic maneuver that could bolster Maulana Fazl’s position in the upcoming elections.
With today being the last day for candidates to withdraw their nomination papers for the general elections scheduled on February 8, this development adds an interesting twist to the evolving political landscape.
