Adnan Sami promotes Indian flag earbuds

Adnan Sami

WEB DESK: Musician Adnan Sami who renounced his Pakistani citizenship and became an Indian national in 2016, took to social media on Saturday to show off a pair of in ear monitors that displayed the Indian flag on them.

Posting on X, formerly Twitter, and Instagram, Sami posted pictures of himself with ‘in ear monitors’ that displayed the Indian flag.

“These are my 2nd pair and they sound incredible…They made this design with the Indian flag especially upon my request!”

This is not the first time that the musician who once had a musical show on PTV has taken to social media to gloat about his Indian citizenship, and does not let go of an opportunity to engage about Pakistan-India’s tumultuous history as well.

Last month, Sami had a heated exchange with Pakistan’s former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry, who made a comment about Indian Home Minister Amit Shah’s order directing states to ensure all Pakistani citizens depart by April 27. Chaudhry asked on X, “what about Adnan Sami?”, which began an exchange that saw Sami call the former minister “illiterate”.

Some also trolled the singer insinuating that he is still undercover Pakistani and the earbuds are actually to help Pakistan with intel.

The exchange came in the midst of escalating tensions between Pakistan and India due to the Pahalgam attack which led to Operation Sindoor from India’s end followed by Bunyan Marsoos by Pakistan. Both countries agreed to a ceasefire on May 10 brokered by the US.
