In a bid to foster improved ties between neighboring nations, Afghanistan’s Interim Government Foreign Minister, Maulvi Amir Khan Muttaqi, has voiced his commitment to resolving all outstanding issues with Pakistan through dialogue and mutual understanding.
In a recent telephone conversation with UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the two leaders touched upon several pressing matters, including Afghanistan’s relations with the United States, regional stability, and the latest developments between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
During the call, Minister Muttaqi painted Afghanistan’s position as a responsible neighbor, stressing the importance of peace and cooperation in the region. He noted that Afghanistan seeks stability and ‘will not permit its soil to be used against Pakistan.’
This call for constructive dialogue marks a significant step toward rebuilding diplomatic relations between the two countries, offering a path forward amid ongoing tensions.
